I've recently gotten hair extensions. They are "shedding"! Is this normal?

Will extensions damage my hair?

NO. If done properly by a professional, with maintenance and care of your hair extensions including "check ups" , there is no reason extensions will damage your hair. That includes proper maintenance by the stylist as well as the client. You will be sent home with instructions, products and a brush which is all included in your price. Extensions will not damage your hair if properly cared for and maintained. It is very important to have an expert do your hair extensions and that they thoroughly explain how to maintain your style for optimum healthy hair.

Can I brush, curl, blowdry, flat-iron and wash my hair with extensions?

Yes. This is your new hair to wash, curl, flat-iron and blowdry and do as you wish! You can wash everyday, though you will find your extensions will stay clean and styled for days.

Can I go in the pool, sauna, the ocean, the sun?

Yes! There are no restrictions with these extensions. Have fun in the sun, in the water, anything!

How long does it take?

Typically a set of extensions takes anywhere between 2-5 hours depending on the client, amount of hair, cutting and styling. Every client is different.

How long do they last?

They can last anywhere from 3-6 months. Of course it is neccesary to take care of them; maintain your extensionswith your stylist and you will never have to go with out them

How much does it cost?

Extensions can range from $300-$1500 depending on the clients specific needs. What they are trying to acheive and what they are looking for, whether it be color, texture, length or volume.

Can I color my own hair with extensions?

Yes of course! You would not need to color your extensions as they are already the color you desire, just your regrowth is neccesary.
